Jeremy began his journey in the hospitality furniture industry in 2006, seeking a career change from the Hotel & Tourism industry, yet recognising his intrinsic passion for furniture and design. His family has a history in furniture dating back 114 years, founding the New Zealand furniture company McKenzie & Willis in 1906.
Throughout this time Jeremy has personally delivered over $30 million of projects from singular apartment design and refurbishment, loose furniture replacements, through to large scale hotel and apartment fit outs. Regardless of scale each project receives Jeremy’s signature approach, promising dedication and unwavering customer service.
‘Hotel in a Box’ (trademarked in Australia and New Zealand) has been developed to deliver outstanding hotel and apartment fit outs for investors and developers. This involves furniture packages that are interchangeable, enabling many different designs and aesthetics. Jeremy is determined to make the choice of furniture for investors and developers as easy as possible, conscious of the environmental impact and sustainability of everything he does.
Jeremy is aligned with a large joinery company, interested in creating jobs and supporting the local manufacturing industry, as well as starting discussions with a social enterprise group to understand how they can better recycle furniture components. The ‘Hotel in a Box’ concept reduces the environmental impact of transportation by manufacturing locally, using less fossil fuels and supporting Australian industry.
